Coffee & Roasting

It means exactly what it says: we do not roast your coffee until you place your order. There is no warehouse of pre-roasted bags. When you order, we roast. When the roast is complete and the beans have rested long enough to degas, we ship — typically within forty-eight hours.

This ensures that the coffee you receive is at peak freshness, not weeks or months past its prime. It is the foundational principle of our company.

Coffee is a perishable product. After roasting, the aromatic compounds that give coffee its character begin to dissipate. Within about ten days, a roasted coffee has already lost a significant portion of its peak flavor. Within thirty days, most of what made it special is gone.

This is why we roast to order and ship within forty-eight hours — so the coffee arrives at your door at its most expressive, with the full window of freshness ahead of it.

Single-origin coffee comes from one specific estate, cooperative, or region. It expresses the unique character of that place — the terroir, the varietal, the processing method. Single origins are ideal for pour-over and drip brewing, where their distinct flavor notes can shine.

Blends combine beans from multiple origins to create a balanced, consistent flavor profile. Our signature blends are designed to work across brew methods, including espresso, where balance and body matter more than origin-specific character.

Store your coffee in the bag it shipped in, sealed with the one-way valve, or in an airtight container. Keep it in a cool, dark place — not the refrigerator, not the freezer. Temperature fluctuations and moisture are the enemies of freshness.

For the best flavor, brew within thirty days of the roast date printed on the bag. Grind just before brewing if possible.

We offer whole bean as the default, but we can grind for you if needed. Select your brew method at checkout and we will grind accordingly. However, we strongly recommend whole bean — coffee begins losing flavor within minutes of grinding, so the fresher the grind, the better the cup.

Orders & Shipping

Because we roast to order, there is a short delay between when you order and when we ship. Typically, your coffee is roasted within twenty-four hours of your order, rests to degas, and ships within forty-eight hours of roasting.

Standard shipping then takes three to five business days. Express shipping takes one to two business days. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships.

Free standard shipping is included on all orders over $75. Subscription orders always ship free, regardless of order size. Orders under $75 are charged a flat shipping rate.

We currently ship within the United States. We are working on expanding to select international destinations — follow us on social media or join our newsletter for updates.

Because we begin the roasting process quickly after an order is placed, modifications or cancellations need to happen fast. Contact us immediately at hello@sugardaddy.coffee and we will do our best to accommodate your request before the roast begins.

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within fourteen days and we will send a replacement or issue a refund. We stand behind every bag.

Subscriptions

Choose your coffee, your grind, and your delivery frequency — every week, every two weeks, or monthly. We roast and ship on your schedule so you never run out of fresh coffee. You can pause, skip, or cancel anytime from your account page.

Yes. You can switch between any of our available coffees at any time from your account page. Changes take effect on your next scheduled delivery.

Yes. Subscription orders receive a discount compared to one-time purchases, and they always ship free regardless of order size. It is our way of rewarding the commitment to fresh coffee.

No penalties, no hoops. Pause for a week, a month, or indefinitely. Cancel entirely if you need to. Everything is manageable from your account page, or contact us and we will handle it for you.

Wholesale

Yes. We offer wholesale pricing on our full catalog for cafes, restaurants, hotels, and retail shops. See our Wholesale page for details, or reach out through our contact form to start the conversation.

Yes. Volume-based discounts scale with your order size. The larger the order, the greater the savings — without compromising on quality or freshness.

Absolutely. We offer product resell for retail shops, gourmet stores, and corporate gifting programs. You carry our bags on your shelves — our branding, your storefront. Contact us to discuss terms.
